Photos and a video from today’s solar panel bird proofing job in Cambridge. It wasn’t the usual suspects today, it was jackdaws causing trouble this time. Jackdaws are several times more cognitively flexible and capable problem-solvers than pigeons.
They had worked out to overcome this bird blocker installation. This particular product doesn’t fill the gap beneath the panel rails. In the video you can see it happily walk under the rail. This gap doesn’t exist on mesh installations as the mesh is custom cut to size.
