Rat Blocker Supply and Installation
Nex Pest Control supply and install 4 inch and 6 inch rat blockers. *Please note this service is only offered to residents of Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire*. Rat blockers are stainless steel non return valves which are fitted into inspection chambers. Rat blockers allow toilet waste to pass into the main sewer network but restrict rats from entering the property’s waste pipes.
How the rat blocker works
The rat blocker works by blocking off sewage pipe access to rats from the outside while still permitting the free flow of water and waste from the inside.
The rat blocker fits snugly into your water or sewer pipe.
Its steel flap opens when fluids need to flow freely into the sewer, but until then, the flap remains closed and prohibits rodents from entering. Quite simply, fluid flows out, but rats can’t get in. This means that if you have multiple lateral drains only 1 rat blocker is necessary to protect them all.

If you ha e solar panels, and have a problem with pigeons, this is the company to use.
The price was great, they arrived on the day and time that was agreed. Cleared all of the pigeons nests, and installed high quality mesh all the way around the panels.
They cleared up all of the mess from the nests so we'll, that you wouldn't have known there was there.
Absolutely perfect service, this really is the best company you could possibly use.
I can't recommend them highly enough.

I had pigeons nesting under my solar panels in November 22. Nick gave me a fantastic quote and booked me in quickly. He completed all 16 panels in one day and they look very neat. He sent me the 10 year warranty docs within days. And no more pigeons!

Nick has done a fantastic job putting anti-pigeon wire around our solar panels. This year, for the first time, pigeons had begun nesting under them and the mess was awful.
Our roof was not the easiest to negotiate because of the steep pitch and the nature of the roofing but Nick proved up to the task, conjuring up a clever solution. We were also very impressed that he came back a second time to resolve the issue without the need for scaffolding.
His prices are very competitive so we have no hesitation in giving a five star review.

Nick solved our birds nesting under solar panels problem. With over twenty pigeons under our large array the noise and continual mess became a health issue. Using subtle wire mesh, shaped to fit our roof tiles and brackets around the perimeter the bird proofing is hardly noticeable from the ground and inspite of return visits the pigeons have now moved on.

Over the three weekly treatments (5/1, 12/1 & 19/1) Nick was incredibly courteous and professional at all times. His cleanliness was amazing also.

I had a problem with a bird that had got into my house and luckily it made it's way into a space where I was able to catch and free it. Because I was concerned about future incidents I contacted this company for advice.
Nick was very helpful and called within a couple of days to inspect the property. He found certain spots needed bird-proofing and arranged to do the job within a few days. I am completely happy in all the dealings I had with him and found him to be knowledgeable, friendly, reliable and keen to explain everything to me. His service is 10 out of 10 and highly recommended.

Nick identified a rat infestation coming through a damaged sewer. He has an amazing video camera on a wire that found the problem, it gets in everywhere that you cant see and would otherwise be guessing. The rat entry point was blocked, He baited and after 3 weekly visits the problem was solved, no more rats. He installed a steel rat flap in the drain so rats cant access from the public sewers.Very thorough and professional service with a one off fee until problem is solved, no extra charges for further visits. I would highly recommend.

I've used Nick on two occasions to clear 2 separate wasp nets from my property. On both occasions he was able to come round either same day or next day and successfully cleared the nests. On the 2nd occasion he even came back round a few days later to inspect the area and cleared the dead nest for us. Really good service and highly recommended.

I contacted Nick about a wasp nest in my garage roof and he came out same day to fix. He also spotted another nest in the roof and was able to deal with that too. A couple of days later I found yet another wasp nest, this time in my main house roof, and again Nick came out on the same day and sorted that. He is knowledgeable, helpful, and charges fairly. Five star job!

Nick to the rescue! After having a panic about a pest infestation in my home, I sent Nick a message and had a response back extremely quickly! He instantly reassured me and spent most of his morning trying to help me resolve the problem. Upon asking for an inspection, he arrived within a few hours.
He was nothing but professional and friendly when he arrived, and I also absolutely love the fact he is extremely discreet in his presentation - perfect if you don't want the neighbours to know about any pest issues!
Nick did a thorough search of my property including the exterior and took plenty of pictures for evidence and removed the "problem" and advised of next steps to take and follow up of a full report. I would deffinately reccomend to anyone needing pest control. You just cant beat the quality of a good independent business. Thanks again Nick!

We contacted Nick after pigeons decided to set up home under our solar panels, Nick was friendly and helpful, answering all our questions very promptly and made return visits for the few pigeons that wouldnt move on of their own accord. I couldn’t recommend this company more. They have gone above and beyond to do everything they can to solve our problem with a rat/rats in our loft. With extra visits free of charge to ensure everything was in place and working we have now been left feeling happy and confident that this will not be able to happen again. Nick was able to answer all my questions and worry’s along the way - explaining everything in detail and what the plan of action was, which has now all been put in place. Nex Pest Control have been superb with an ongoing pigeon problem, nesting under solar panels... attaching barb wire around the edges of the solar panels, helping to attach a falcon to the roof, and now in the process of ridding the pest through culling. Very professional and reliable, definitely would recommend to anyone seeking help and advice with a similar pest problem.

What can I say ... AMAZING. Nick came out over the Christmas period to help sort our pest problem. He was very reassuring and sorted it immediately. His prices undercut all others we had contacted. Nick took on extra work when we realised the problem was bigger than we originally thought and explained everything to us. He was also on hand to ask questions and I know will be there in the future. Suspected I had Rats in my loft over Christmas. Called Nick who came around a few hours later. He undertook a thorough search outside and found a hole I never knew existed, which he blocked up. A similar inspection took place in my loft. Rat droppings, rat runs and nesting material were found. Bait was then laid. By the second visit, a week later, all noise had ceased. Dead mother and baby rats were located. More bait was laid but intact on the third visit. Rats had all gone.
Without Nick i'd of had real problems up there with those babies. No way could I have done what he did. He always turned up on time, knew his stuff and kept me informed throughout. He is meticulous to detail and left no stone unturned until he got to the bottom of it. A professional workman with a pleasant manner. Very Reasonable costs. I'd recommend him to anyone.
